Preston have confirmed that six players whose contracts come to a conclusion at the end of June will not be offered new deals.

Five of the six have been out on loan for much of this season, including Andy Boyle who played 13 times for Dundee in the Scottish Premiership before moving on to Ross County where he helped them win the Scottish Championship.

Ben Pringle, who was with Sky Bet League Two with Tranmere, along with Marnick Vermijl (MVV Maastricht in the Netherlands); Michael Howard (Stalybridge Celtic) and Tom Stead (Kendal Town) will also leave Deepdale having spent time out on loan in 2018/19.

Tommy Spurr, who returned to the club at Christmas after beginning the season on loan at Fleetwood only for a hip injury to bring a premature end to his season, is the sixth player to leave.

All other players are under contract, with Graham Burke set to return from his loan at Gillingham for pre-season, as will Connor Simpson following a spell with Carlisle.

Chris Maxwell will also return from his loan spell at Charlton at the end of their League One Play-Off campaign.
