Wigan midfielder agrees one-year loan deal
Wigan midfielder Cho Won-hee is to join former club Suwon Samsung Bluewings on a one-year loan deal.
The South Korea international joined the Latics last March and has impressed manager Roberto Martinez with his attitude.
However, he has not been able to establish himself as a regular in the side, starting just twice and making five Premier League appearances in total.
Cho revealed before Christmas that he was eager to play more regularly to boost his chances of playing at the World Cup this summer.
A loan spell with a Championship club was understood to be one option but instead he will return to his homeland for 12 months.
Martinez wishes the 26-year-old well and is looking forward to working with him again in January 2011.
"Cho has been a good professional for us with a great attitude and we wish him all the best in his quest to win a place in the South Korea squad for South Africa," Martinez told the club's
official website.
"We hope he performs well for club and country while he is away and look forward to welcoming him back this time next year."
