Jenas also relishing new start after Spurs loan

Alan Hutton insists Aston Villa was the 'only place I wanted to go' after sealing his move to Villa Park. The Scotland international has signed a four-year deal after Villa agreed a fee with Tottenham for his services. Fulham also made a bid for the full-back, but Hutton admits linking up again with former Rangers and Scotland chief Alex McLeish played a major role in his decision to move to Villa. "It's a great football club with great fans and I'm really looking forward to working with Alex McLeish again," Hutton told the club's official website. "He's such a commanding figure and he's had a great influence on my career at Rangers and in the Scotland team in the past. "I'm really looking forward to working with him again. "I want to help the club progress and for us to be the best team we can be. "As soon as I knew Villa were interested it was the only place I wanted to go. This is a massive club with great players. "The likes of Darren Bent have told me so much about it."

New chapter

Fellow Villa new boy Jermaine Jenas, who has arrived on a season-long loan deal from Spurs, is looking forward to kick-starting his career after a frustrating last few seasons at White Hart Lane. "Villa is a big club and I'm up for the cause. I want to get my head down and fit into the squad as quickly as I can," noted Jenas. "It's a new chapter in my career and it would be great to achieve something at the club. I'm really looking forward to getting going."
