MK Dons boss a potential successor to Eriksson at Leicester

Skysports.com understands Karl Robinson is a contender for the vacant managerial post at Leicester City. Leicester are searching for a new boss after Sven Goran Eriksson was sacked as manager on Monday following the 3-0 home defeat to Millwall last weekend. A number of names, including former boss Martin O'Neill and Huddersfield's Lee Clark have been linked with the job, but Robinson is thought to figure highly on Leicester's shortlist. Robinson is regarded as one of the brightest young managers around after taking over as MK Dons boss at the age of 29, making him the youngest manager in the Football League in the process. The 31-year-old started coaching at Liverpool's academy before working as a coach at Blackburn under Paul Ince, who he followed to MK Dons. In his first full season in charge he guided MK Dons to the play-offs where they lost to Peterborough and they currently sit seventh in League One after a solid start to the season. MK Dons would be loath to lose Robinson, but the Liverpool-born manager is believed to have his admirers within the corridors of power at the King Power Stadium as they look to bring in a new man.
