Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny believes the club can win every game they play at the moment such is the confidence around the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have recovered from a difficult start to the season that brought 8-2 and 4-3 defeats to Manchester United and Blackburn respectively. Arsene Wenger's men have lost just once in 11 games across all competitions since the defeat at Ewood Park in September and have won their last four Premier League matches on the trot to rise up to seventh. Poland international Szczesny has cited an improvement in team spirit as a reason for their recent success and revealed that the squad believe they can win every time they step out onto the pitch. "The mood has turned around. There's a belief we can win every single game - we just have to be focused," Szczesny told The People. "I seriously believe in this club and if we keep playing every single game like we have been recently, why not? "We've got a few good results but we still have a point to prove and I think you have to judge us over the course of the season."

Increased defensive solidity is also a key reason behind Arsenal's revival with the arrival of German defender Per Mertesacker a component of that. Szczesny has praised the influence of the 27-year-old since his move from Werder Bremen though stressed he is not afraid to bark orders at the German, even though the defender is six years his senior. "I think Per's been very good recently. You don't pay £10million for a centre back with 70-odd caps who is not good," he added. "Everyone needs time to adapt to English football, he's an experienced player and he keeps getting better and better. "I'm sure he'll be very good for Arsenal for a long time. But for me it doesn't matter if my defence are older than me or more experienced than me - it makes no difference. My job is to get them organised and their job is to listen to me. I'm very comfortable with that."
