Hamburg man's deal set to expire
Hamburg boss Thorsten Fink has revealed the club are not yet in talks with Croatian international forward Mladen Petric over a new deal.
The 31-year-old's contract expires in the summer and the forward's future is uncertain, having turned down an extension to his deal last year.
"We are actually not talking to Mladen about a new deal," Fink told
Sport Bild. "We have however agreed we would sit down in about two months or so.
"It's a fact we handed him a new contract offer to stay on already last summer. Back then Mladen turned down the chance to sign new terms."
Petric, a 2008 signing from Borussia Dortmund, scored 11 goals for Hamburg in just 20 Bundesliga games last season and has netted on a further five occasions this term.
