Blackburn and Leeds eye Macclesfield defender

Sky Sports understands Blackburn Rovers and Leeds are tracking highly-rated Macclesfield defender Tony Diagne. The 21-year-old left-back has been excellent this season but despite his performances the Silkmen look bound for relegation from the Football League. At 6ft 4in, the towering French-born youngster cuts an impressive figure and has the physique and ability that will see him thrive at a higher level. Rovers and Leeds have had the full-back watched on countless occasions this season, and would have been impressed by his four goals. Relegation will leave the Cheshire outfit vulnerable to bids for their leading players and they will find it very hard to turn down any offers for Diagne.
