Goalkeeper targets three wins to secure third place
Wojciech Szczesny claims Arsenal have the quality to challenge for Europe's top honours but just need to improve their consistency.
The Gunners still have work to do over the final three games of the Premier League season to ensure a third-place finish ahead of Newcastle.
With those games against Stoke, Norwich and West Brom, they are well placed to achieve that feat and that represents a dramatic turnaround from the early stages of the season.
Arsene Wenger's men slumped as low as 17th after four defeats in the opening seven matches but a run of seven straight victories in February and March has catapulted them to the brink of Champions League qualification.
And the 22-year-old Polish shot-stopper knows that is the sort of form they need to recreate all season if the Gunners are to achieve their objectives.
Consistency
"I think the quality is there," said Szczesny. "We all know it - we have the quality to fight for trophies in Europe and this country.
"It is just consistency that has been a bit of a problem for us this year.
"But the team is getting more experienced and hopefully we have got the experience to win trophies next year.
"If you look over the last couple of months we are probably one of the best teams in the Premier League.
"We have got three games to go and we need to win all three and we will finish third."
