Striker confident Trotters can beat the drop

Ivan Klasnic is confident Bolton can steer a course to safety and preserve their Premier League status. The Trotters battled their way to another useful point away at Sunderland on Saturday, with club captain Kevin Davies bagging a brace in a 2-2 draw. Stalemate at the Stadium of Light was not enough to lift Owen Coyle's side out of the drop zone, but only goal difference is keeping them inside the bottom three. Bolton also boast a game in hand on all of those around them, with a trip to Tottenham awaiting them on Wednesday. Klasnic believes the Trotters will do enough in their final three fixtures to remain in the top flight, with there too much quality in the Reebok Stadium ranks for them to go down. "I am sure we can stay in the Premier League," the Croatia international told Sky Sports News HD.

Surprise

"I think we have a good team and we are better than normal. "Wigan got three points yesterday, they won 4-0 against Newcastle which was a surprise, but we have one game in hand against Tottenham. We have to win this game and then we will have the same points as Wigan." Wolves are already destined to be playing Championship football next season, but there are two relegation spots to fill and five clubs still in the mix. Asked if he expects the basement battle to go down to the final day, Klasnic added: "Yes. We have a game in hand, so it depends how we play and how the other games end. "If we can get a good result on Wednesday, it would be a good point for us to stay in the league."
