April fools

Meanwhile, Benitez has also hit back at former Chelsea midfielder Ray Wilkins for comments he made regarding squad rotation and an injury picked up by Ashley Cole during Monday's FA Cup quarter-final replay against Manchester United. On the suggestion that he should look to field key men in every game, Benitez said: "I think it was 1st April when he said these things so maybe it was a joke because you can't take the comments seriously. "I have a degree in sports science in Spain and I have spoken to many medics from different universities about injuries. It is the first time I have ever heard anything like this so, I repeat, 1st April."
