Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed they have made an offer for former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.
Bendtner is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Emirates Stadium earlier this summer.
A number of clubs have been linked with the Denmark international with Aston Villa the latest side to be credited with an interest in the 26-year-old.
Eintracht have held a long-term interest in Bendtner and executive chairman Heribert Bruchhagen has revealed they have tabled a contract offer to the player as they look to lure him to Germany.
"We have offered a contract to Nicklas Bendtner and we will have a good team for the new season in Bundesliga 1," Bruchhagen told Bild.
