Blackburn Rovers striker Chris Brown faces a spell on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery.
Brown, who joined Blackburn during the summer from Doncaster has not played for his new club after suffering the knee injury in pre-season.
Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has declared the injury a success with Brown expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks.
"The operation was a success so hopefully we are looking at four to six weeks," Bowyer told the club's official website. "He's desperate to do well.
"It is disappointing for him not to have made his full debut for us yet."
