Graphic

Did YOUR favourite Premier League team live up to expectations this weekend?

We've asked Sky Sports Now guest Trevor Sinclair to give each side a grade based solely on their 90-minute performance over the weekend.

Weekend's Premier League results

  • Everton 3-1 Chelsea
  • Arsenal 2-0 Stoke
  • Crystal Palace 0-1 Man City
  • Norwich 3-1 Bournemouth
  • Watford 1-0 Swansea
  • West Brom 0-0 Southampton
  • Man Utd 3-1 Liverpool
  • Sunderland 0-1 Tottenham
  • Leicester 3-2 Aston Villa

So how did your team fare? Did they get an A+ or an F, or somewhere in between? Read on to see how your team has been ranked.

Leicester (A+)

Leicester showed unbelievable playing power, team spirit and belief to get back into this game. They are second in the table now and deserve to be there. They are confident, they've responded to their new manager well and the players have improved their game after last season. The atmosphere at the King Power has been outstanding and I'm sure the fans can't wait for the next home game.

Everton (A)

This was a massive performance, they probably deserve an A+ but for the fact they didn't keep a clean sheet. The substitution to bring on Steven Naismith worked wonders and sometimes you get that bit of luck as a manager. John Stones played and defended incredibly well and, as a team, Everton looked really hungry. Great performance.

Norwich (A)

Norwich were outstanding. Wes Hoolahan epitomised what a No 10 should be - all action. He scored a goal, assisted another and pretty much run the show. He played with no fear, was creative and looked fitter than I have seen him before. I'm sure he can have a real purple patch for the Canaries.

Arsenal (A-)

Arsenal probably deserve an A-, you'd expect them to beat Stoke at home if everyone is firing. Theo Walcott's finishing could have been better but he used his pace really well and got his goal. All round it was a decent performance, but they've got to start killing teams off.

Man Utd (A-)

The first half at Old Trafford was dour but United were different class in the second half. Going 2-0 up and then having Anthony Martial come off the bench to have the impact he did was what dreams are made of. Hopefully he'll take a lot of confidence from that.

Anthony Martial came off the bench to score on his Manchester United debut in a 3-1 win over Liverpool as they went second

Watford (B+)

This was a brilliant result for Watford and Quique Flores. They haven't conceded a lot of goals and they look really well organised. The manager has put a lot of work into the players about shape and it's working. He's a fantastic coach and we will see that through the season. My only concern for Watford is the quality in the final third. They needed a long ball to get the goal but it was still a great result nonetheless.

Crystal Palace (B)

Palace have been a breath of fresh air this season and they really remind me of the QPR team I joined in the 1990s. They've got plenty of pace going forward, they're quite raw, but they really pushed City and probably deserved something from the game.

Man City (B)

City won the game at a tough place to go but it was clear to me they missed David Silva. Kelechi Iheanacho came on and scored the goal and did very well. But, looking at the all-round performance, I think City were a bit off it compared to their usual selves. Saying that, Vincent Kompany, Eliaquim Mangala and Joe Hart deserve credit for claiming a fifth clean sheet.

Tottenham (B-)

Fantastic play by Spurs to edge a tight game. Brilliant probing play in the build up to Ryan Mason's goal and, when the time was right, he injected some urgency and made that run. Brilliant combination play from those involved and a brave finish. Spurs rode their luck a bit at times but if you're going to keep a clean sheet away from home anything can happen.

Ryan Mason started and finished an excellent team goal in Tottenham's 1-0 win against Sunderland, all but two players were involved

Aston Villa (B-)

Although they were 2-0 up, I thought the scoreline wasn't a true reflection of the game - I still thought Leicester were dangerous. Villa were a team who didn't have the savvy-ness to see out a game by keeping possession. They were a bit naive. If you score two goals away from home you should be coming away with something.

Southampton (C)

This is a good point for Southampton. A clean sheet and a point away from home is never a bad thing. I just think about the frustrations of the players who have remained at the club after seeing a lot of their best players sold for the second season in a row. If a club aren't matching your ambition as a player it can be disheartening. The players seem to be getting on with it, though, but it will be interesting to see how things pan out for the Saints after two stellar seasons.

Sunderland (C)

Sunderland played quite well, creating a few good chances for Jermain Defoe. But you've got to score when you're on top and I think Sunderland are just lacking that experience, or game savvy-ness, to be able to do that. They switched off for the Spurs goal and it cost them.

Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat was surprisingly positive following his side's 1-0 defeat against Tottenham,

West Brom (C)

West Brom could have done with getting a result. I would like to have seen Saido Berahino start, he is obviously one their best players. I'm not sure leaving him on the bench is the way forward. He could well have turned that one point into three.

Stoke (C-)

Stoke haven't started the season well, they're currently second bottom. I like what Mark Hughes has done with the team, he's made them a lot more creative but they seem to have lost their steel and their ability to keep clean sheets.

Bournemouth (D)

Bournemouth had a soft underbelly and left themselves exposed far too easily. I want to give Norwich credit but I think Bournemouth need to start being less adventurous when they go away from home. They need to spend more time on trying to keep clean sheets and that will give them a chance to stay in games.

Chelsea (D)

Chelsea are a million miles away from where they were. The defending champions were convincingly beaten at Goodison Park, and Nemanja Matic's brilliant goal acted as mere consolation for the Blues.

Liverpool (D)

Joe Gomez has done well so far in his fledgling Liverpool career but it was a poor challenge that handed United their two-goal lead. When you chase at game at Old Trafford with the crowd against you it's very difficult. Christian Benteke's goal was great but the overall performance was lacklustre and they didn't offer much going forward. They are crying out for a winger. The support for Benteke was a million miles away and there are a lot things Liverpool have to get right before they start climbing up the table.

Liverpool's Christian Benteke scored a possible goal of the season with this incredible effort at Old Trafford.

Swansea (D)

Swansea simply didn't turn up. Credit to Garry Monk, though, he held his hands up and admitted they weren't good enough. All managers strive for consistency but sometimes this isn't possible. I'm not concerned with Swansea, sometimes these things happen, we're only humans after all.
