Skysports.com considers the best transfer options ahead of the weekend's fixtures

A busy afternoon of Premier League football is heading your way on Saturday, with eight top flight games set to be staged over the course of eight action-packed hours. With so much going on in such a short space of time, it seems only right that we pick our intrepid trio of Fantasy Football transfer must-haves from the midst of a hectic fixture list. There are star names aplenty from which to choose, with a number of players to have recently switched clubs catching the eye. Among those set to turn out in new colours this weekend is England international Darren Bent, and he is our first transfer offering. Aston Villa have splashed out a club record fee to land the striker from Sunderland and will be looking for an immediate return on their considerable investment when they host high-flying Manchester City. Gerard Houllier certainly needs Bent to hit the ground running, as Villa continue to struggle, but the omens look good for the French tactician as his latest recruit has made a habit of notching on his debut down the years.

Buoyant

Slipping back into midfield and we come to a man who will in buoyant mood when he takes to the field after putting pen to paper on a lucrative long-term contract this week. Everton have rewarded Seamus Coleman with a new deal after being impressed by his ongoing development this season. We reckon the young Irishman is a good bet to cause rock-bottom West Ham problems at Goodison Park, with the 22-year-old winger having to shoulder even more responsibility now that Steven Pienaar has departed for Tottenham. The fact that Coleman is actually listed as a defender also makes him a shrewd acquisition as he will pick up any defensive bonus points the Toffees may accumulate. Finally, fresh from finding the target against Leeds in midweek, we come to Bacary Sagna.
Stunning
The Frenchman's stunning effort at Elland Road on Wednesday was his first in almost three years and he will be hoping he does not have to wait quite so long for his third Arsenal goal. He may not get the opportunity to add to his tally against Wigan this weekend, but his buccaneering breaks down the right flank mark him out as a possible provider for others. Sagna will also be confident of helping to keep a shot-shy Latics outfit at bay, with Roberto Martinez's men holding the unfortunate honour of being the Premier League's lowest scorers. With Fantasy Football all about picking up as many points as possible, it is important that you cast aside the dead wood on any given weekend. Into that category this week fall Rafael, George Elokobi, Steven Gerrard, Cheik Tiote, Emile Heskey and Victor Obinna, as they must all serve suspensions. Injured stars such as Sebastien Squillaci, Phil Jones, Alan Smith, Tom Huddlestone and Mario Balotelli will also be of little use, so get rid while you still can.
