Alex Mowatt's minute to forget in Oxford's defeat to Portsmouth

Alex Mowatt had a minute to forget in Oxford United’s 3-0 defeat to Portsmouth on Sunday.

With Oxford trailing 1-0 at Fratton Park, the 23-year-old first spurned the chance to equalise when he hit the post with a penalty.

As he was expressing his frustration at the miss, he was taunted by Nathan Thompson, who ran over and shouted in his face.

Mowatt responded by slapping the Pompey midfielder and was subsequently given his marching orders by the referee.
