La Liga round-up: Athletic Bilbao resurgence continues with win over Real Betis

Athletic Bilbao's resurgence under manager Gaizka Garitano continued as Iker Muniain's sixth goal of the season was enough to clinch a 1-0 win over Real Betis.
Muniain produced a superb turn and finish past Pau to give the hosts the lead and Athletic held on despite Oscar De Marcos's sending off with six minutes remaining.
Athletic remain unbeaten in seven league matches since Garitano took charge in early December, with the club winning four games and drawing three times to move up to 11th place while Real Betis drop to eighth after a fourth away game without a win.
Meanwhile, Wesley Hoedt was sent off on his Celta Vigo debut as Valladolid moved five points clear of the relegation zone after coming from behind to a secure a 2-1 win.
Pione Sisto gave the visitors a 16th-minute lead but second-half goals from Oscar Plano and Keko turned the game on its head before Hoedt was dismissed with three minutes remaining.
Celta are a point above the relegation zone but Rayo Vallecano can move above them if they beat Alaves on Monday evening.
Elsewhere, bottom club Huesca secured only their second away point of the season as they held Real Sociedad to a 0-0 draw at El Alcoraz.
Huesca remain nine points adrift of safety while the point was enough to lift Sociedad up to ninth position.
