Aleksandar Mitrovic's late header cancelled out Jermain Defoe's opener in a tight and nervy affair, and Newcastle goalkeeper Elliot joked after the game about having to get on a plane to Dublin with Sunderland's John O'Shea for Republic of Ireland duty.
