Reported Everton target Ralf Rangnick signs new Leipzig deal to 2021

Reported Everton target Ralf Rangnick has chosen to commit his future to RB Leipzig and stay on as the Bundesliga club's sporting director until 2021.
The 59-year-old, who was interviewed by chairman Bill Kenwright in 2013 before Roberto Martinez was handed the reins, had once again been linked with the vacancy at Goodison Park in recent days.
But a move now seems unlikely after Leipzig announced that Rangnick had signed a fresh contract to extend his stay at the club beyond 2019 for a further two years.
The announcement came on the same day the Toffees were hammered 4-1 by Southampton at St Mary's to lie two points above the drop-zone.
Rangnick began his current role in 2012 and had a spell as the club's manager in the 2015-16 campaign before employing Ralph Hasenhuttl, who is the current boss of the club, second in Germany's top-flight three points behind Bayern Munich.
The Football Association was also interested in Rangnick following Roy Hodgson's resignation as England head coach after Euro 2016 before Sam Allardyce's ill-fated appointment.
"I'm very pleased that my future lies with this great club. It's been a fantastic development so far and I'm sure there's much more to come yet," Rangnick said.
"Together with Oliver Mintzlaff and our team I would like to further develop the club in the coming years.
"The decision to extend my contract is also a commitment to this beautiful city, in which I feel very comfortable."
The German side's director of football Mintzlaff said: "We're very happy to extend Ralf Rangnick's contract. He's the motor of this club and will be key in our ongoing development."
