Richarlison is challenged by Virgil van Dijk

It is the 200th Merseyside league derby this weekend – a game you can see live on a triple-header Super Sunday – and here are the Essential Stats you need to know.

It is now 18 meetings in all competitions since Everton last tasted victory against Liverpool - their longest-ever run without a win in the derby.

Their last win came over 8 years ago back in October 2010 - a 2-0 win in the Premier League - thanks to goals from Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta.

It's not hard to see Liverpool's domination of this fixture since that day - with the Reds winning nine and drawing seven of the last 16 Premier League meetings.

In the time since their last victory in the derby, Everton have beaten 32 of the other 33 teams that they have faced in the Premier League.

The only other exception being Birmingham - who they have played just once in that time.

It was a good midweek for Everton - their 3-0 win at Cardiff on Tuesday giving them only their third clean sheet in their last 15 Premier League games.

Marco Silva's side will look to keep their first successive shut-outs since November at the weekend - but one area of weakness for them this season has been defending from set-pieces.

No other team has conceded more goals from dead-ball situations this season in the Premier League, while Liverpool have scored the most goals from set-pieces and corners this season.

Defending set-pieces has been a problem for Marco Silva's sides during his time managing in the Premier League - with his teams conceded more goals from these situation than any other manager since he was first appointed at Hull in January 2017.

Sunday will be the 100th league Merseyside derby at Goodison Park and the bad news for Everton is that no team has won more away league games there than Liverpool.

Liverpool's 33 wins at Goodison is two more than Arsenal. The Reds' most recent win on Everton's turf came in dramatic fashion - Sadio Mane's 94th-minute winner, back in December 2016.

With any slip-ups becoming more and more pivotal in the race for the title - it is worth noting that five of the last six Premier League meetings at Everton have ended in draws.

Jurgen Klopp is yet to taste defeat in the Merseyside derby since his appointment as Liverpool Manager in October 2015 - unbeaten in his six Premier League meetings against Everton.

His side's form may have dipped recently, having dropped more points in 2019 than they did from August until December last year, but their record against teams outside the top six goes from strength to strength.

It was a record that continued to improve this week after they thrashed Watford 5-0 at Anfield on Wednesday.

It's now 31 Premier League games since Liverpool last lost to a team outside the so-called big six - a 1-0 defeat at Swansea in January 2018.

A key factor to Liverpool's success this season has been their defence, having conceded a Premier League-low 15 goals this season.

By contrast, after 28 games last season, they had conceded more than double the current tally with 32.

Virgil van Dijk made his mark at the other end of the pitch in midweek, but he has rightly taken many of the plaudits for their improvement at the back - but summer signing Alisson has certainly played a significant part.

It's been some start to life at Anfield for the Brazilian who has now kept 16 clean sheets in his debut Premier League season - three ahead of fellow countryman Ederson - and the most for Liverpool since Pepe Reina kept 17 back in 2009/10.

So it is a Super Sunday triple header for you this weekend - including Brendan Rodgers' first game in charge of Leicester when they travel to Watford.
