Fulham captain Danny Murphy has signed a contract extension with the London outfit. The former Liverpool, Spurs and Charlton midfielder has penned a deal at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2010. The former England international has made 25 appearances for the Whites this season notching up five goals to date. Murphy joined Fulham during the summer of 2007 and scored the winning goal at Fratton Park at the end of last season to secure the club's top flight status. The 31-year-old was made captain for the current campaign by boss Roy Hodgson in the summer.
