Striker focused on steering Bolton clear of trouble
Bolton captain Kevin Davies is happy to wait for talks over a new deal as everyone at the club focuses on pulling away from trouble.
Davies, who will be 35 in March, is among a number of players - including the likes of Gary Cahill, Martin Petrov, Zat Knight and Gretar Steinsson - whose current contracts expire next summer.
He has been at the Reebok Stadium since 2003 and is ready to commit to staying for longer, but can understand that there are more pressing priorities.
The Trotters have endured a dismal start to the Premier League campaign and remain in the relegation zone despite beating Stoke 5-0 at the weekend.
"There has been no discussion at the moment, but what will be, will be. Everyone knows what I feel about the club," he told the
Bolton News.

"It isn't something I'm really thinking about. I just want to move us out of this situation in the league.
"When the club decide to open talks might depend on the league position.
"If we are going to find ourselves in a relegation battle with a few games to go then that could have some bearing on whether the chairman (Phil Gartside) is going to be offering contracts.
"But if we can get out of this position then it will help everyone.
"We need to string some results together and we have certainly got the squad to do that."
