Scotsman reveals he missed Toffees goal
Norwich boss Paul Lambert hailed in-form striker Grant Holt after another goal on Merseyside in the 1-1 draw with Everton.
The 30-year-old displayed his confidence with a superbly taken goal at Goodison Park that went in off the post after the towering striker turned John Heitinga in the box.
That effort means Holt now boasts six goals in eight games and has ticked off another club on Merseyside having also netted against Liverpool in October.
Lambert managed to see Holt's strike in the 28th minute, but missed Everton's equaliser through Leon Osman when there was just nine minutes to go.
"Holt has been great for the last two-and-a-half years I have been here," he said.
"I think he has scored 50-odd goals in 100 or so games and in anyone's book that is a phenomenal ratio.
Handful
"He has always been a handful and it is a great testament to him he is probably getting the reward from it.
"It was a brilliant finish. I thought the free-kick, Steve Morison's lay-off and the way he rolled (John Heitinga) was excellent.
"He seems to be doing it again so I am delighted for him and the lads."
When asked of his whereabouts when Everton equalised he said: "You don't need to ask me that. I missed a goal, that is what happened."
He went on: "This is a really hard place to come and we battled really strongly and defended really strongly when we had to but also looked a threat.
"They came rolling right at us and you weather the storm, that is what you have to do and that is what we did at Anfield.
"Any point away from home is good."
