Kean hoping for boost ahead of Manchester United trip

Blackburn manager Steve Kean has revealed that Martin Olsson could return from injury to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on New Year's Eve. Rovers have a chronic injury list, which leaves 10 senior players either doubtful or definitely missing. Midfielders David Dunn and Junior Hoilett will both be assessed before Kean can make a decision on their respective niggles, while Olsson is also racing to be fit following a hamstring problem. "Martin has an outside chance," said Kean. "It is a matter of making sure he can play to the normal explosive nature of his game. "Last time he came back too quickly and this time we want him available for a number of games."
