Balotelli given Euro warning

Forward will not be picked if he does not improve behaviour

Mario Balotelli has been left in no doubt that he will not be taken to the European Championship in the summer if he does not clean his act up. The troubled striker has courted controversy on and off the field since joining Manchester City in the summer of 2010 in a deal worth £24million to Inter Milan. The 21-year-old has been left out of the Italy squad to face the USA on Wednesday because he recently served a four-match suspension for stamping on Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker and Prandelli refuses to pick players serving domestic bans. Although the striker returned to the City side at the weekend and scored the opener in their win over struggling Blackburn, the omission is a stark warning as to his future conduct in England. "The players know it," announced Prandelli. "Acting like this they will miss the Euros. "Enough of this football full of rash reactions and punches, it is a sign of weakness. You cannot be in the national squad if you risk leaving the team with 10 men."
