Sporting striker happy to stay

Sporting Lisbon ace Ricky van Wolfswinkel has underlined his happiness with life at the club. The 23-year-old striker only joined Sporting last summer after joining from Dutch side Utrecht. Van Wolfswinkel has made a big impact in the Portuguese capital and has been linked with moves to one of Europe's top leagues with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Inter Milan all mentioned. Van Wolfswinkel was talking after scoring the opening goal in Sporting's weekend win over Vitoria Guimaraes. "In the world of football it is not possible to speak about the future, but in this moment I do not have any motive to leave Sporting Lisbon," he said. "I am happy right now, because all that counts is getting a goal. "But now it is necessary to focus on the match with Manchester City." Van Wolfswinkel is eager for Sporting to progress to the Europa League quarter-finals, as they go into the second leg at City with a 1-0 advantage. "We go into the match with a one-goal lead and this is very important and this gives us a lot of confidence," he said.
