The agent of Melbourne Heart defender Curtis Good has confirmed talks are ongoing between the A-League side and Newcastle United.
The 19-year-old is a product of the Australian Institute of Sport and only signed a senior contract with Heart back in February.
However, the Melbourne-born defender has impressed in his recent performances for the AAMI Park outfit and earned himself a two week trial with Newcastle.
The Magpies are reportedly keen to pursue a permanent deal for the teenager, who is valued in the region of £400,000.
Good's agent, Zeljko Susa, confirmed that talks are continuing with the North East club and he is hopeful a deal can be concluded soon.
"Discussions are ongoing and we are hopeful of a positive outcome," Susa told the
Herald Sun.
"It would be a fantastic opportunity for Curtis to continue his football development with a successful club from one of the world's best leagues."
