Roberto Martinez eyes centre-half

Sky Sports understands that Wigan have increased their offer for Spanish defender Ivan Ramis. The likes of Everton, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Celtic have all been linked with the Real Mallorca centre-half. The 27-year-old is rated highly, but Mallorca have lowered their asking price to around €5milllion. With Wigan believed to be offering around €4.5million, it seems a deal may not be far away. Sources close to the player told Sky Sports: "We are convinced he will end up at Wigan."
