Free agent Gaby Mudingayi claims to have snubbed approaches from Queens Park Rangers and Watford over the summer.

The 33-year-old midfielder finds himself without a club following his release by Inter Milan.

He was offered the opportunity to head to England by two London-based sides, but felt neither deal was right for him.

A man capped on 17 occasions by Belgium claims an agreement could still be reached with Watford, but he is keeping his options open as interest continues to arrive from around the world.

Mudingayi, who has spent time on the books of Gent, Torino, Lazio and Bologna, told Gazzetta dello Sport: “QPR’s offer didn’t convince me.

“In June, I refused Watford because I was waiting on an offer in Serie A. But they are still first in line.

“I negotiated with Palermo but they then signed (Luca) Rigoni.

“Then there was India. (David) Trezeguet’s club wanted me, but I love football too much to play there now.

“Many people think I am injured because I didn’t play at Inter, but I recovered one year ago.”
