Tottenham are ready to loan out defender DeAndre Yedlin despite him only arriving at the club earlier this year, according to Sky sources.

The United States international signed a four-year contract at White Hart Lane last summer after a deal, thought to be worth around £2.5m, was agreed.

He initially stayed with previous club Seattle Sounders until January because he was unable to secure a work permit before then.

Right-back Yedlin has made only one appearance for Tottenham since, coming on for the last 11 minutes of a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on April 11.

The 22-year-old played for the USA at the Gold Cup over the summer and appeared in five of their six matches as they finished fourth in the competition.

But he is yet to even make the bench for his club side this season after Kieran Trippier signed from Burnley and Kyle Walker returned to fitness.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has previously indicated Yedlin would be made available on loan and he could move before the transfer window closes next week.
