Marcos Rojo has no interest in leaving Manchester United, Sky sources understand.

Newspaper reports have claimed Jose Mourinho is keen to cash in on the Argentina international as he attempts to re-build his defence, and that Rojo recently turned down a move to the Chinese Super League.

Rojo, 26, has stiff competition for a place in Mourinho's back-four following the arrival of centre-back Eric Bailly from Villarreal and the return to fitness of left-back Luke Shaw.

United also have Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Daley Blind battling for places in defence and, although signing Paul Pogba is Mourinho's priority, it is understood he is still considering bringing in more defensive options.

However, we understand that Rojo is determined to have a good season in Manchester and prove he can be an asset for the club.
