Wayne Rooney returned to Manchester United training on Wednesday after missing their 3-0 win at Leicester on Sunday due to illness.
It is expected that the United skipper will be in the squad for the Premier League visit of Watford to Old Trafford on Saturday, as Jose Mourinho's side look to break into the top four.
Manchester United have not lost in the league since October, with that 15-game run helping to move them to within two points of fourth-placed Arsenal.
They could climb into the Champions League places for the first time since September with a win over Walter Mazzarri's side, with just five points separating second and sixth in the Premier League.
Michael Carrick also took part in Wednesday's session after being left out of the team that won at the King Power Stadium. He was taken off at half-time in the midweek draw against Hull before the visit to Leicester.
Elsewhere, some United fans feared they might have seen the last of Marouane Fellaini's trademark haircut after he posted a picture of himself apparently getting ready for a haircut on social media earlier this week.
On Tuesday he tweeted: "Hairdresser here we go" along with a picture of himself.
However, the Belgian also trained with the squad and it did not look like he had altered his style too drastically.
