Ibrahimovic is still recovering from the knee injury that cut short his debut season at Manchester United but with his rehab ahead of schedule, Jose Mourinho has rewarded him with a fresh one-year contract.

"I am back to finish what I started," said the 35-year-old, who will wear the No 10 shirt vacated by Wayne Rooney.

With 28 goals, Ibrahimovic was United's top scorer in all competitions last season but he delivered off the pitch as well as on it with a string of bold claims and attention-grabbing soundbites.
