Ronaldo is now only two goals away from reaching the target after netting in Saturday's 3-1 success over Aston Villa and the December Player of the Month is keen to maintain his rich vein of form in front of goal
"To beat the manager is my ambition and I want to carry on, I want to score more goals," said Ronaldo.
"I felt very honoured by the award. It's given me the motivation to achieve more."
United face a stiff test of their title credentials next weekend when they travel to Arsenal and Ronaldo insists they make the trip to London in good spirits.
"We're playing away against a big team but we should only think about ourselves," added Ronaldo.
"We're in great form and we have a chance.
"It is not only me scoring goals, my friends are also having opportunities to score.
"Michael Carrick scored a fantastic goal, (Park) Ji as well, and this is good for the team."
