Manchester United forward Memphis Depay says he will not tone down his celebrations if he scores against former club PSV.

Memphis joined United from the Dutch champions earlier this summer and is set to start against his former employers on Tuesday, with Wayne Rooney ruled out of the Champions League clash with a hamstring injury.

The 21 year-old scored 22 goals for Phillip Cocu's side last season to help guide them to their first title in seven years. However, the Netherlands international says he has no plans to temper his celebrations if he scores on his first return to the Philips Stadion.

"For me it's a game, so if I score I will celebrate," Memphis said. "I have respect for PSV but I am a Manchester United player now."

Former United and PSV midfielder Ji-Sung Park expects Memphis to utilise his inside knowledge of PSV.

"There will be mixed feelings before the match but, when he gets out there, he'll just do his job as a United player," Park told ManUtd.kr.

"He's a professional player and will carry out his role in the team and try to win the game for United. If he plays well and shows his ability, even PSV's fans will appreciate that.

After his debut goal, will Anthony Martial be a Manchester United hit or miss?

"And he'll also be comfortable playing in the Philips Stadion because he played there for several years. So he's one of the guys who can make an impact on the game."

Park scored twice in 23 Eredivisie appearances on a season-long loan from QPR in 2013-14 and he says United will find the Philips Stadion a tough place to go.

"PSV are still a young team - they have many talented players but not much experience of Champions League football," Park said.

It's difficult to play at the Philips Stadion. It's not a big arena like Old Trafford but the fans' energy is high and their support lifts the team.

"They proved themselves last season by winning the league but lost two big players this summer, with the captain Georginio Wijnaldum also going to Newcastle.

"But they have a lot of energy and are very good technically. They like to control the game. I think United are stronger but it will be a good match.
