Leeds rule out Huth

Leeds United have ruled themselves out of the running for defender Robert Huth.

Leeds United have ruled themselves out of the running for Chelsea defender Robert Huth.

The Whites had targeted the strong German defender following the news that Matthew Kilgallon faces up to two months on the sidelines.

However, manager Kevin Blackwell believes with bigger clubs than Leeds in for the 21-year-old they have no chance of securing his services.

With Blackwell reluctant to throw Simon Walton into the first-team fray at Leeds, Sean Gregan is now set to fill in during Kilgallon's absence.

"We've no chance of signing Huth," conceded Blackwell. "Bigger clubs are in for him. There's no more money to spend."
