Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has insisted that he does not care where he plays as long as it helps the team.
The Serbia international has become something of a utility man in the Blues' backline, playing all across the defence this season to cover their injury-hit squad.
Ivanovic was a key figure in Chelsea's Premier League and FA Cup winning double last season, also demonstrating his considerable improvement at Stamford Bridge after being awarded a place at right-back in the Premier League team of the year.
The 27-year-old signed a new five-year-contract in February in a move that demonstrates his importance to the club, and he conceded that he would just rather be in the first-team rather than playing a specific role.
"I prefer to be on the pitch," he said. "I see my future in Chelsea.
"I want to be ready and to give maximum for the team. It depends on the manager which position."
Ivanovic also spoke highly of new signing David Luiz, who has settled into life at his new club in stunning style after delivering some brilliant performances since joining from Benfica in January.
Attitude
"David is a brilliant player. He showed a good attitude and performances in the games he's played," he added.
"It's important for him to play as many games as possible this year.
"He has to get ready for English football, but he's shown his quality.
"He is showing this and the technique in training every day. I think he can
help us to win a lot of games."
Chelsea's next game comes against Danish side Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League, with the Blues strongly tipped to advance with a 2-0 advantage going into the second leg at home.
Ivanovic warned that the tie was not over yet, but he was already think about helping the club finally lift Europe's biggest trophy for the first time in their history.
"In football, 2-0 is a big advantage but is also a very dangerous score," he added.
"I have this dream. For every player, this is one of the biggest competitions in the world and it would be the biggest success in football, winning the Champions League."
Talking of the Premier League, Ivanovic said: "I think we cannot say goodbye to the title.
"But, at the same time, we cannot leave the Champions League on the side.
"We have all the players fit, a good squad, and we have to use all our power to try to fight until the last moment in all competitions."
