Drogba admits Mourinho return 'would be nice'
Chelsea captain John Terry has branded Jose Mourinho a 'fantastic manager' amid speculation linking the Real Madrid boss with a Stamford Bridge return.
The Portuguese tactician has been tipped as a possible successor to Andre Villas-Boas, who was sacked by the club last weekend after a run of poor results.
Mourinho previously spent three seasons in West London, guiding the Blues to two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and two League Cups during his time at the helm.
Terry played a key role during that illustrious period and has nothing but praise for the manager, currently in charge at the Bernabeu and on course for the Primera Liga title.
But the skipper insists, for the moment, he is focused on pushing forward under caretaker boss Roberto Di Matteo, who has been appointed until the end of the season.
"It's all speculation at the moment," Terry told
Sky Sports. "Obviously (Mourinho) was a fantastic manager and a very good man manager as well.
Great job
"Robbie has come in, he's brought (assistant) Eddie Newton in as well, they're doing a great job taking over.
"So the target really is focus on two months, get the club in the position we all want to be in - which is the Champions League next year - and we'll go from there."
Didier Drogba says he would welcome a Mourinho return but has echoed Terry in insisting there is only speculation for now.
He said: "I think there's a lot of speculation. Him, (Rafa) Benitez, all these managers.
"It would be nice, it would be fun for the story. Let's see what happens."
