Eden Hazard says he wants to stay with Chelsea – where he can win ‘every’ trophy.

The Belgium playmaker has played a key role in propelling Chelsea to an early lead in the Premier League title race and Jose Mourinho seems set to tie the midfielder down with a new contract to fend off interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain.

The 23-year-old had a couple of run-ins with the Blues boss last season but says his relationship with the Portuguese is now better than ever and he’s determined to deliver on the field to help Chelsea clinch plenty of silverware in this campaign.

I’m in one of the best clubs in the world and I can win every trophy because we have a very strong team.

“I’m in one of the best clubs in the world and I can win every trophy because we have a very strong team. I don’t want to leave,” he told Sky Sports, ahead of his side’s Super Sunday clash with Arsenal.

“Last season I did some mistakes but we [he and Mourinho] are friends. Not only for the football but outside the pitch we speak together and he gives me a lot of confidence and it’s always a pleasure to play for him.”

Freedom

Another change from last season is Hazard’s role in the side. He says, with the arrival of summer signings Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa, he has been granted more freedom by opposition teams.

And Hazard believes the likes of Fabregas and Costa can also make him a better player.

“It’s different to last season,” he said. “I have a lot of freedom now because I remember last season a lot of games one, two or three players were against me, and now it’s different because they have to take Costa or Fabregas, not just me.

“If I want to be one of the best I need to be in one of the best teams. I need help, I need a good team and that is what I have here.”
