WATCH: Jamie Carragher talks Jurgen Klopp, Steven Gerrard and Liverpool
Saturday 7 November 2015 22:35, UK
Jamie Carragher joined Fenners and Helen on the Soccer AM sofa to talk all things Liverpool, as well as his experiences on Monday Night Football.
The former Liverpool and England defender also spoke about Jurgen Klopp's appointment as manager at Anfield and was asked for his thoughts on Steven Gerrard's muted return to the club.
"I think he will go back and train - I don't think there will be any problem with that," Carragher said of Gerrard - now with LA Galaxy.
"He's got to tick over. It would be nice for the younger players as well and even Klopp could listen to his experience.
"However, in terms of playing, I don't think that would be a good idea."
On Liverpool's new manager, the Sky Sports pundit added: "There's no doubt he's a character. It's not just a signing for Liverpool but the Premier League.
"He's one of those managers you want to see his interview on a Friday. When you interview all the managers he's the one you want to hear what he's got to say.
"It's similar to when Jose Mourinho's speaking and I like listening to Louis van Gaal. He always makes me laugh and Klopp's another one. You want to listen to what he's got to say."
