Liverpool winger Sadio Mane named in Senegal squad for African Cup of Nations

Liverpool winger Sadio Mane is one of five English-based players named in Senegal's squad for the African Cup of Nations.

Mane is included in the 23-man group for the tournament alongside Idrissa Gueye of Everton, Stoke's Mame Biram Diouf, Cheikhou Kouyate of West Ham and Newcastle midfielder Mohamed Diame.

Another Newcastle player, Henri Saivet, who is on loan at French club Saint Etienne, has also been named in the squad.

The tournament runs from January 14 to February 5 and players must be released by their clubs 14 days before the start of the competition.

Senegal's first match is against Tunisia on January 15. They play Zimbabwe four days later and complete their group schedule against Algeria on January 23.
