Liverpool have arrived in Hong Kong for the Premier League Asia Trophy amid torrential rain and flood warnings.

The squad were forced to train indoors rather than at Hong Kong Stadium where they are due to play Crystal Palace tomorrow.

Despite some standing water on the pitch, the Premier League are confident the games will proceed as planned due to the new drainage system which is aided by the new sand based pitch.

The forecast tomorrow is for no rain after 11am local time.

Jurgen Klopp was philosophical about the inclement weather:

"You have to make the best of the circumstances," said the Liverpool manager at a pre-tournament news conference

"We come from England so we are used to a little bit of rain but yesterday was a little bit too much. Situations like this are like football - you always need to find solutions."

Following Wednesday's game against Palace, Liverpool will play either West Brom or Leicester on Saturday before flying to Germany to take on Hertha Berlin on the 29th. The fixture will mark both clubs' 125th anniversary.

Liverpool will remain in Germany for the Audi Cup which starts with a game against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on August 1.
