Liverpool to use Lazio training ground for Roma match thanks to 'intermediary' Lucas Leiva

Liverpool will use Lazio's training ground before and after their Champions League game against Roma thanks to an intervention from Lucas Leiva, according to Sky in Italy.

The former Liverpool midfielder is now at Lazio, and acted as an 'intermediary' to make the agreement possible.

Jurgen Klopp's side will complete a light training session at Formello, Lazio's training base, before the game on Wednesday, and another light session following the match on Thursday.

Liverpool hold a 5-2 advantage in the semi-final clash, and will head to Rome ahead of the second leg confident of reaching their first Champions League final since 2007.

Lazio - who are currently fourth in Serie A - did the same for Manchester City when they faced Roma in the Champions League in 2014.

Lucas spent ten years at Anfield after joining Liverpool from Brazilian side Gremio in 2007.
