Ovie Ejaria says he wants to be a first-team regular at Liverpool after signing a new contract extension and joining Rangers on loan.
The two clubs confirmed on Thursday that the 20-year-old's season-long move to work under Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard at Rangers, subject to international clearance.
Ejaria is a product of the Liverpool youth academy and made eight first-team appearances during the 2016-17 season, including five starts in the FA and League Cups.
"I'm just going to keep working hard and see where that takes me. I really want to be a regular at Liverpool, a massive club, so that's my aim," he told Liverpool's website.
"It's a really great feeling (to have signed a new contract). I've been at Liverpool for four years now and I'm just really happy to extend my stay here.
"It's a massive club, doing really well at the moment, so it wasn't a hard decision at all."
The midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Sunderland, who were relegated from the Championship, making 11 appearances for the Black Cats and scoring against Wolves on May 6.
Ejaria is an England U21 international, earning his first cap earlier this year, and was part of last year's U20 World Cup-winning side.
