Liverpool will play their first pre-season friendly at Anfield in four years when they take on Italian side Torino on August 7.

Jurgen Klopp's team will host the Serie A club as part of their final preparations for the 2018/19 campaign, with the Premier League season kicking off just four days later against West Ham at home.

It will be the first time in history Liverpool have taken on Torino - who finished 9th in the Italian top flight last term.

The last time Liverpool played a pre-season friendly on home turf was back in 2014, when they beat Borussia Dortmund 4-0, who were then managed by current boss Klopp.

The Reds will also take part in the International Champions Cup in the United States as part of their pre-season. They will face Dortmund again, as well as English rivals Manchester City and Manchester United.
