Sporting Lisbon remain interested in Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho, Sky Sports News understands.
The Premier League club has been aware of Sporting's interest in Camacho for some time but he recently broke into Liverpool's first team for the first time.
Camacho, 18, made his senior debut when he started Liverpool's 2-1 FA Cup third round defeat at Wolves.
He played at right-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold having been rested and Nathaniel Clyne joining Bournemouth on loan for the rest of the season last week.
Sky Sports News understands Liverpool are happy for him to stay at the club for now, amid widespread links he could be on his way to Sporting on a loan deal, potentially taking in the remainder of this season and 2019-20.
Camacho's contract at Anfield runs until the end of next season and any deal would see him return to the club where he started his Academy career.
He left Sporting in 2013 to sign for Manchester City and then joined Liverpool in the summer of 2016 on a four-year deal.
