Liverpool have reached an agreement with former assistant manager Zeljko Buvac to officially leave the club.
Buvac, Jurgen Klopp's long-time assistant, has not been at the club since last April due to "personal reasons".
The 57-year-old has remained a Liverpool employee since April, but the Reds have now confirmed he will not be returning to Anfield.
Buvac, the man Klopp called 'The Brain', had worked with the Liverpool boss since they first came together at Mainz 17 years ago, and Klopp once called him "the best signing he's ever made".
The Bosnian-Serb quit Liverpool just before the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Roma, and there has been no official reason given by Buvac or the club for his departure.
Klopp has filled the hole left by Buvac by bringing Pep Ljinders back to the club as his assistant following a short spell in charge of NEC Nijmegen.
