Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says there is no advantage or disadvantage to playing on different days to Manchester City

Jurgen Klopp expects Manchester City to win all their remaining games in the Premier League this season and says Liverpool cannot afford to rely on mistakes from Pep Guardiola's side.

Liverpool are currently four points clear of City at the top of the Premier League with 15 games remaining in the campaign.

City can cut that gap to just a single point on Tuesday night when they travel to face Newcastle, with Liverpool hosting Leicester the following evening.

It will be the first time in seven matches that City have played before Liverpool in the Premier League but Klopp insists that won't affect his preparations for the game.

"For me it makes no difference," he said. "I expect City to win every game. I would expect them to beat Newcastle but I will still watch the game.

"I can only speak for myself. I don't sit in front of the television and [flinch] when they score. It's not like this. I really believe you have to do your own work and your own job if you want to have something.

"Don't be concentrating on other teams. It doesn't make sense and doesn't help. Whatever result happens tonight, I expect to be one point up tomorrow before the game.

"That doesn't bother me."

Leicester beat both Chelsea and Manchester City during the festive period but have lost four of their five matches since their Boxing Day win over the Premier League champions.

However, Klopp expects the Foxes to raise their game against the current league leaders and insists current form will count for little when they visit Anfield.

"I think Claude Puel said everything about it, they like playing against the top sides," said Klopp.

"They are not that much a counter-attacking side as they have been in the past but of course they are a massive threat.

"We have all had these situations. If you play against teams and they don't give you a lot of space, it is not too comfortable. A lot of teams struggle with that.

"We expect a very dangerous opponent. They have quality, if we go through the team it is a super team."

Jamie Vardy has scored seven goals in eight Premier League appearances against Liverpool and Klopp believes the England international is still one of the best strikers in the division.

When asked what Vardy's strengths are, Klopp said: "The speed he has, the finishing skills he has, but a few times we made it pretty easy for him! Didn't Lucas Leiva give him an assist?

"Even I would have scored that goal but Jamie is a fantastic striker, really. Every fibre of his body is waiting on the decisive situations.

"He is more involved in defending than he was in the past but that doesn't make it easier to defend against him. He is a massive threat and he was always.

"But he is not the only one."
