James Milner has praised the "different" atmosphere around Anfield after Liverpool returned to winning ways over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp's side, hunting for their first top-flight title in 29 years, dropped points with draws against West Ham and Leicester in recent weeks but dispatched Bournemouth 3-0 to return to the top of the Premier League.

"We started the game really well and the crowd set the tempo as well," Milner told the club's official website. "They were brilliant from the start, even in the warm-up.

"There was just a different feel around the whole place and that's what we want. We are all in it together, that unity.

"That's everyone at Melwood and everyone in the squad, at the club and the fans as well."

Liverpool play Bayern Munich in the Champions League last 16 on February 19 before travelling to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's unbeaten Manchester United side - live on Sky Sports Premier League - on February 24.

With the team out of the FA Cup, they now have a 10-day break before their next game and Milner took the opportunity to address the dip in form prior to Saturday's win.

Jurgen Klopp admits his players were keen to improve on recent disappointing results, as Liverpool secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Bournemouth

"We are having one of those runs in the season where we have got little niggles, little injuries, illnesses and disruption to the team a couple of days before, it has been the last few games really," he said.

"People say it's disappointing the draws we have had - yes, it is, we would like to win - but all in all, hopefully at the end of the season we can look back and say they are good draws with the circumstances.

"It was good to see Trent (Alexander-Arnold) back, Hendo (Jordan Henderson) was on the bench if needed. That's good and hopefully a few more can come back in the next 10 days, refresh and go again."
