Reds signings depend on players being offloaded

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish admits any further additions to his squad this summer will depend on players leaving Anfield first. The Reds have been busy in the transfer market so far, having already brought in midfielders Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing, as well as goalkeeper Alexander Doni. It is thought Dalglish is now looking to strengthen his backline, with Lyon left-back Aly Cissokho among the names to have been linked with the club. But the manager says the possibility of bolstering the squad further depends on whether they offload existing players. "We're delighted with the work we've done," he said. "Whether there's more remains to be seen and depends on players going out." Uncertainty surrounds the future of several members of Liverpool's squad, with players such as Christian Poulsen and Alberto Aquilani not guaranteed to stay at the club. Left-back Paul Konchesky has already departed for Leicester City, while defender Stephen Darby and keeper Peter Gulacsi have both been sent out on loan.
