Danny Welbeck said scoring the winner in Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Leicester on his return from injury was a "beautiful feeling".
The 25-year-old was making his first appearance of the season, having been sidelined for 10 months after undergoing knee surgery, and his 95th-minute header proved to be the goal which kept Arsenal's title hopes alive.
Earlier, Jamie Vardy had given the visitors the lead from the spot before Danny Simpson's second-half dismissal turned the game in the Gunners' favour.
Theo Walcott equalised for the hosts before Welbeck, making his first appearance since April 2015, rose highest to guide Mesut Ozil's delivery into the net.
The England international admitted he is thrilled to be back playing first-team football after what has proved to be a difficult spell on the sidelines.
"I think the most important thing was to get the win and the three points and obviously close the gap at the top," Welbeck said.
"It has been a bit of a rollercoaster for me. It's the first time in my career that I've missed so much football. It's been difficult.
"My friends and family know what I've been through, so to get that winning goal is a beautiful feeling."
